The other mirrors which we're operating came into existence because interested stakeholders did the work to implement them within the frameworks we have available (or extended them where required), not simply because someone came to the infra team and requested to have them. > They currently has a network of mirrors [3], so it should be > possible to host a mirror. [...] We wouldn't run a public mirror anyway, it would be a network of private mirrors distributed throughout our various CI environments so as to be located as close as possible to our job workers. Basically a CDN implemented via an AFS cache with Apache running in front of it. I browsed around on the TCL site briefly but didn't see where they had any instructions on recommended mirroring mechanisms. Different distros update their package repositories in different ways and the mechanisms used to sync one are not necessarily safe for another, so you would at a minimum want to find out a lot more about how it's supposed to be mirrored before embarking on a quest to design and implement one within our infrastructure. -- Jeremy Stanley _______________________________________________ OpenStack-Infra mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstack.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openstack-infra
