Hi,
Cinder supports that from Kilo, but Nova needs to support that, [1]
And you can see in blueprint progress won't happen even in Newton (=so Ocata is
earliest)

Also note that this will be Cinder-backend-specific, so you need to check
when/if Cinder backend used by you will support it.

BR,
Konstantin

Subject: [Openstack-operators] Cinder Volume Multi-attach

Hello

I'm running OpenStack Liberty release.
My question is if cinder supports volume multi-attach ?
Can the same volume be attached to more than one instances ?
Should anything be changed in the code level to make it work?

Currently I was able to create a new volume with --allow-multiattach option.
But it can't be attached to more than one instance.
I'm getting an error :
"ERROR (BadRequest): Invalid volume: volume
'08cf47a0-2f31-422b-a124-192155143abf' status must be 'available'. Currently in
'in-use' (HTTP 400) (Request-ID: req-038db0fa-624d-45a1-a13c-2c5432790019)"

Thank you.
