Thanks. I apparently missed the emails about the voting taking place.. I was actually trying to dig further back than 1 month ago. I knew there were discussions last month. In fact, I remember your 'Ready to move' email from 8/1 which was apparently before the vote. This actually doesn't make me feel any better, because it feels like a decision was made even prior to the PPB voting. You claimed 3 months of development. That means at least 2 months of development happened prior to the PPB voting. The CI repos were also moved prior to the PPB voting. During none of the 2 months of development can I find any references to Gerrit on _this_ list. Not until Monty's note on 7/18 about CI repos moved. > >> There was no discussion about how we might want to modify it to fit our >> needs. > > False. There was lots of discussion on it. Maybe I should. I don't feel like that's 'public discussion', though. > >> The development all happened mostly in the private as far as I can tell. > > False. I realize that's what I said, but I really didn't mean that all of the code wasn't open. :) I meant that a lot of us knew nothing about this Gerrit development until well into the process, giving us only a choice to voice complaints very late in the process... and apparently mostly not until around the time of the actual PPB vote. >> That said, Sandy just provided a list of annoyances. There's been > responses to all lists of annoyances, Chris. Thanks. I see them. It's not that I didn't think there would be responses. I'm just trying to keep us on track to trying to resolve the issues while I still complain that *I* feel we should have had some more/earlier/better communication on this list. :P - Chris This email may include confidential information.
