Hi Steve, I have tried install openstack vlan mode followed this guide: https://github.com/mseknibilel/OpenStack-Folsom-Install-guide/blob/master/OpenStack_Folsom_Install_Guide_WebVersion.rst but I still can't ping vm, did you try it already?

I have cleaned up everything and will try 1 more attempts at building all the quantum network related paths. should that still do the same thing I will probably go try vlan instead of gre as nobody has complained when using vlan. s On 04/16/2013 06:38 AM, zengshan2008 wrote: > did you know anybody with the same problem? and how did he solve it? > 2013-04-16 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > zengshan2008 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > *发件人:*Steve Heistand > *发送时间:*2013-04-16 21:35 > *主题:*Re: 回复: Re: [Openstack] network connections in vm > *收件人:*"zengshan2008"<[email protected]> > *抄送:* > no I have not. > It wasnt an issue with iptables at least that much I know. > steve > On 04/16/2013 06:29 AM, zengshan2008 wrote: > > no,I didn't get these logs. > > did you figure out this problem? > > 2013-04-16 > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > > zengshan2008 > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > > *发件人:*Steve Heistand > > *发送时间:*2013-04-15 22:43 > > *主题:*Re: [Openstack] network connections in vm > > *收件人:*"zengshan2008"<[email protected]> > > *抄送:* > > recently, 5 seconds ago) due to excessive rate > > Apr 15 07:41:07|25716|netdev_linux|WARN|ioctl(SIOCGIFINDEX) on > tapd48efb62-cc device > > > > failed: No such device > > Apr 15 07:41:16|25717|netdev|WARN|Dropped 311 log messages in last 12 > seconds (most > > recently, 1 seconds ago) due to excessive rate > > Apr 15 07:41:16|25718|netdev|WARN|failed to get flags for network device > qr-d23210b0-43: > > > > No such device > > steve > > On 04/14/2013 11:08 PM, zengshan2008 wrote: > > > Hi , I followed the instructions in > > > > https://github.com/mseknibilel/OpenStack-Folsom-Install-guide/blob/stable/GRE/OpenStack_Folsom_Install_Guide_WebVersion.rst, > > > > but there is something wrong with network connnectios of the virtual > machine, I > > > can't ping the virtual machine, neither the private ip nor the public > ip.
