A bit off-topic: Terraform uses the gophercloud go library to talk directly to the Keystone/Neutron/Nova OpenStack APIs It is not using Heat in the background. Very simplified I would say terraform is a cloud vendor-neutral (ish) replacement for Heat which is run client-side instead of server-side. >Am missing something or Rackspace Cloud and the OpenStack clients are not >compatible? >Has anyone been successful in fully managing Rackspace with OpenStack tools? Never played with Rackspace Cloud, cannot help you here. Cheers, Robert van Leeuwen
