I've submitted the patch to our U-Boot. It is now in hardware:boot the
development project for the package.
If you want you can install it from there:
https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/hardware:/boot/openSUSE_Factory_ARM/
I suppose it will land in the next Tumbleweed snapshot.
