My bet is this is because of the mono components needed to do the
install.

What's the plan for the trusty YaST Software manager from 10.0?  Has it
been thrown in the "Legacy Software" pile somewhere?  I understand that
the new ZLM based installer has new features that are good, but it would
be good to have the old installer available for older hardware, possibly
as just an alternative mini-iso or something which would require the
other CDs still.  Is that an option?
