you can already ask Yast (or kde?) to keep the passwd for you.
the reason why many windows application don't works as a
user and needs badly admin rights is because most users
works as admins. but then anybody is obliged to run his bow
as admin to have all packages run.
this must not happen with Linux.
we must keep the unix way.
and there are solution in this way to gives user what they want
