You use a new sane package with an old YaST scanner module.
It is already fixed in the newest YaST scanner module.
See the RPM changelogs.
Nevertheless even the current YaST scanner module may be not yet
100% ready regarding newest kind of scanner access via HAL/resmgr.
Note that when you use "factory" or "beta" packages, there are
some inconsistencies (I cannot have all the scanner stuff updated
at once).
Don't use "factory" or "beta" packages when you need a stable system.
