I installed 10.3 with the first cd only on a free disk partition
without real problems. continued with factory/kde so far so good.
noticed:
I use to make the boot from the root partition not to disturb the
present install. When, one go to the relevant page, one have a choice
of positions (/boot, /, /root...) It's possible to tick several (even
all) the choices. Is this a feature? surprising.
When the install reboots... it reboots the default install, not the
install one, so I had to use grub to go to the new installed distro.
In fact I had already a 10.0 Grub entry to this partition and this
entry works perfectly for 10.3, so little problem. but just in case I
had none, isn't it possible to make YaST/install reboot the very place
it installed grub?? at least to finish the install.
The "pattern" choice for software is great.
I installed the minimal text packages and only one cd was necessary
_very good_
for the second start I had YaST/Ncurse. It is quite normal with a text
install :-)
On the way to continue the install to kde, I noticed I forgot to setup
the install source. I was unable to "Interrupt" the software install
once started (had to go root and kill or wait 1/4 hour the end of cd run)
nearly all.
Just a notice: web site is green and distro background is blue.
Curious, no???
