Don't worry, it's nothing against Debian.  My entry for openSUSE 10.2
got yanked as well. :-]

I searched for ten minutes or so, and could not find a matching bug among
the roughly 80 we have with grub in the summary, so I went ahead and filed 
a new one:

  #299614  /boot/grub/menu.lst loses entries on update 

If anyone has further details, please add them there!
