If initrd not contain jfs driver module, it can not to boot. Your
should boot jfs system
using rescue and execute mkinitrd. Other ways its not so easy.

When I boot from 10.3 x86_64 DVD or from the ext3 drive, I can mount the
jfs partition, also chroot works. In rescue mkinitrd also says the jfs
module is included. I may try with jfs in front of ext3 in case it's due
to a race condition.
