I've been debugging this without much success right now. For some
reason, gnome-shell doesn't receive the dbus signals about power.

I submitted an improved patch to avoid most crashes; I'm still aware of
a crash (within NetworkManager-gnome). But most importantly, I'm still
not able to send files to my phone (but I can use a bluetooth headset).
I'd appreciate if others could see if things work for them.
