Dear All, there appears to be a problem in running eclipse with gnome 3.8 due to webkit incompatibilities. A lot of information can be gained from this Ubuntu bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1163501 Unfortunately I don't know enough to understand if something can be done on the system side (as opposed to the Eclipse side) to make Eclipse run correctly on OpenSUSE with GNOME 3.8.
