I have a box running 12.2 with XFCE, and I use LXDM for logging in since
it's a multi-user machine and this allows per-user system language
selection.
*Fairly* sure everything was working fine after a fresh 12.2
installation, but at some point, maybe some online update, logging out a
user doesn't go back to the Login Manager and instead produces a blank
screen with just a flashing cursor. From here I end up having to do a
Magic Keys reboot as I don't know how else to put things right.
Perhaps there's a missing configuration somewhere and the system doesn't
know it should be looking for LXDM? Especially since this isn't the
default for XFCE, perhaps an application has hard-coded LightDM?
