My dad makes it a point to read the readme of all software he installs newly.
He learns things that way and potentially avoids problems. Ever since I
starting compiling software on Linux, I started reading readme-s too.
it was not matter of software but of ftp server
and yes, I very often read the readme, but obviously many
don't and it's for these that we need to work
after all, _we_ are disturbed by the questions :-), so _we_
need to find a solution (if ever we can find one, not easy)
