When you try to setup a machine with bridged networking you have to call

vif-bridge up domain=<domainName> bridge=xenbr0 ip="<MachineIP>"
mac="<MacAddress>" vif=vif<DomainID>.0

Example:
vif-bridge up domain=test bridge=xenbr0 ip="1.2.3.4"
mac="AA:00:00:00:00:01" vif=vif1.0

If you don't do so the machine will not be able to do any networking
which is a bit disappointing.

To create my SuSE 10.0 DomU I copied the Dom0 installation to a
different logical volume. This copy was able to boot in Xen. I already
had a SuSE 9.3 DomU which produces crashs on calls that involve udev
(e.g. YaST and hwscan).

Since I got m SuSE 10 Box I was not able to see any progress on Xen. No
updates via "YOU", no helpfull comments on this list, no progress in
bugzilla. For a product that has been part of SuSE 9.3 and that you can
see on page one of SuSE 10.0 overview on novell.com (ok - as emerging
technologie) I feel a bit puzzled ...

Ralf
