I guess yes. By installing kdelibs3-3.5.0, you did a partial KDE upgrade and now have mixed up your version numbers. I see the following possibilities: - upgrade all KDE packages to 3.5 or - downgrade kdelibs again (install from CD/DVD) Why it still works as root? I guess there are some "old" config files in your user account which need to be converted or so. If root did not have ~/.kde before, this problem won't happen. You could also move ~/.kde away (in user's home directory). Oh, Installing a new KDE version when running KDE isn't a good idea. It can work, but it can also cause trouble ;-) BTW: This list is mainly for discussing the SUSE development version.
