Well, I can't reply to my own mail because I'm not getting my own mails (see "Posts" thread), so my apologies to users of threaded mail clients.
The problem with the ISO images seems to be a bug in the version of deltarpm I was using (on Gentoo). I copied the images over to my SUSE 10.0 desktop, made them there, and they're all fine.
