it says your printer is mostly supported ie not full and has some
notes you may want to read.

Thanks for all who replied. Since I did not have a lot invested in SuSE
10.2 configuration I decided to reinstall the system.
(I was too impatient to wait for reply information, no big deal to
install again). The above note from Hylton helps explain
what happended to the printer. I guess if it happens again I'll just
recycle the power to the printer.
