I've not had that problem on my 9400. I do that fairly frequently when flying. If you have a npt time sync started as a service you might try turning that off. It could be its waiting forever for that to come up. Have you pressed escape to watch the messages and see where its hanging? Some times you can press ctrl-C to abort the single process that is holding up boot. (Provided it is not a basic hardware glitch).
