hi, when you boot from the opensuse install cd it will give you a default scenario for partitioning which is fine for most people. (from my experience anyway) I got this acer aspire 5100 laptop preloaded with vista too about 3 months ago. I installed 10.2, took about 1/2 the drive for linux and 1/2 for vista.
