|I got a probelm during installation opensuse 10.2 64 bit in
|AMD Athlon 64. After I choose installation in grub, it just
|blank screen, the keyboard not responding.
|MB: M2NPV-MX, VGA on-board, HD SATA, Memory 2GB.
|Is it hardware problem ?

This is probably a sata controller problem. I believe the
initial bootup image does not have sata-support, or your mb-manufacturer
have put sata and ide into the same chip, which then the kernel
thinks is a ide.

I had the same thing when I installed 10.2 on an ASUS P5B,
I solved it by installing the net-install image and then install
from the net-repository.

After installation is complete the satadrive works fine.


Hi. I try install ubuntu first *doh!*, and it said that I should turn
off apci, then it installed ubuntu flawlessly. Then I re-install using
opensuse 10.2 with apci=off, and it work.
