YaST is not a KDE / libQt-based application, hence it knows not of the
font settings established by the KDE control panel. This is true of
many applications, especially those built for generic Linux use.
Firefox is one example. There are many.

It's an unfortunate fact that it is not possible to configure all the
font characteristics for all applications in a single place. The KDE
settings covers one subset, the Gnome control panel's font settings
cover another and a significant portion (including all Java-based
applications) are self-contained w.r.t. font configuration.
