Basicaly, you want postfix to listen on port 587 instead of 25, right? If this 
is the case, you need to edit  /etc/postfix/master.cf:
change the ninth line, which read:
smtp    inet            n       -       n       -       -       smtpd
to:
587             inet            n       -       n       -       -       smtpd
^^^^

Do not forget to restart postfif: rcpostfix restart
