I can update without any dependency errors using yast from the
gnome:/stable repo but this leaves my system unstable

Dude, i would love to know how to edit the config file to change the
requirement to 2.12. Could you explain how to do that and to which file?
I would tend to agree as gtkpod 99.8 worked without any problems on
sled. Gtkpod 99.10 has some new features that i want to use :)
