Has anyone else noticed problems with the default autohinting in freetype2? Some fonts are using the embedded bitmaps instead, particularly the new Vista ClearType fonts. Ubuntu users have reported the same issue: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freetype/+bug/145488. Is this a hard-coded patch, or something that can be turned off?
