The list of repos can be modified via starting YaST, module 'Software 
Repositories'.

The first list.

This is because openSUSE uses thing called 'patches'. A patch is a bugfix, and 
it might mean to fix several packages. Thus, applying a patch is different to 
updating the packages.

openSUSE updater applies patches only by default. the 'Install Software' 
module updates the packages.
