The standard procedure for me on any new suse build is to nuke beagle completely (along with fixing the broken non-root paths, and installing the chronically missing rwhod) That means, specifically, doing an "rpm -qa | grep beagle", nuking every resulting item and also any dependencies such as kerry or kio_beagle.
