I want to install something, I have a 64bit machine.. there seems to be
something weird when a requirement ( can be almost anything hence no
particular program is referenced here ) . Item is chosen and a flurry
of @missing or unsatisfied ( and apparently unsatisfy-able)requirements
are shown.. eventually two are found in the lists of packages
available. One which is the same architecture and one which @would
change the architecture.. the difference? apparently that one will
change the vendor.. and no matter what I do yast will not accept that
change of vendor and allow me to dl and install the correct
architecture.

Please tell me what is wrong w/ changing vendor? and how do I get yast
or the suse updater to allow this rather than change everything or not
install sometimes required ( by me) programs ???

Anders? Marcus? Anyone? '
cuz the way it is is a pita !
TIA
