Just add names to the form elements, i.e.

<input type="submit" name="doSave" />
<input type="submit" name="doCancel" />

And then add setters in your action: setDoSave() and setDoCancel().

In the doExecute() method, branch logic depending on which value was set.

Depending on JavaScript generally is a bad thing IMHO.
