Sounds like for the velocity templates we need the ValueStack's findValue() method being called so that the type conversion happens as expected.
Matt, can you confirm that the velocity tags are not indeed using the VS?
They're not. The only conversion that happens is with the actualValue.
For my own edification (so I can follow along with the story ;), would the intent be to run tag attributes such as name, label, rows, cols, etc through the value stack or is there some other intent?
