There is probably a way to have '*.jsp' run through an interceptor and do it that way, but then I guess when you do have an action redirect to SUCCESS you will have parameters set twice?

ok, getting there slowly by slowly.
i cannot access request parameters unless i feed control directly through an action, which defeats the purpose of using the 'action' tag by itself to 'pull' the action.
