I've got 1.3, but people here seem to share the opinion that 2 is ready to
roll. Maybe I'll upgrade.

Are you using Webwork 1.3 or Webwork 2?

For 1.3, I believe that you need to copy the template directory from the
examples into your application for this to work.  For Webwork 2, some
sample templates are included in the jar file.
