1) it would make the configuration even larger
2) type conversion happens for intermediate objects, not just actions, so it doesn't totally fit in xwork.xml

MessageI think WW2 should give the ability to use converters (default and user-defined) easily from actions and views, from a unified entry point. It would be nice. Richard.
