We're planning on releasing a beta2 on or before Sunday. How many (more)
bug fixes get in before then will depend on how much time we have, but a
lot of important things have gotten fixed already.

Subject: [OS-webwork] WebWork2 Beta 2 Schedule?

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Folks,

First of all, thanks for the great, hard work on XWork and WebWork2.
I've been having great fun and learning a lot by playing with the
current CVS HEAD, especially in conjunction with Hibernate for
persistence. Following the thread on WebWork2 and Hibernate best
practices, I have my own HibernateConfiguration and
HibernateSessionManager components, scoped at application and request
respectively, and so far they work like a charm.

So my next question is, of course, about the WebWork2 schedule. I'd
very much like to be able to recommend WebWork2 to clients, but of
course there will be strong resistance if the product isn't at least
well into the beta phase, and preferably at release. So I have to ask
what so many others already have: can we get an update on the expected
next beta and final release dates?

Many thanks and best regards,
Paul
