I also had trouble with this when WW moved to java.net. In the end, I just had to register on java.net and login with that username / pw... A little spooky since they don't support any crypto, but then again, I'm not that paranoid anyways. :)

Try with an empty password

Hm... I'm not sure, but java.net may force you to become an Observer on
the project and use your actual login to get the code from CVS... That's
a pain if it's true, but at least you CAN get it, unlike anonvs at
sf.net :-)

Subject: [OS-webwork] webwork2 cvs access

Hi all,

This may be a silly question, but...

I want to checkout webwork2 from cvs, but I can't seem to login. I've tried:

cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs login

using "guest" as my password, per the "CVS client setup" instructions at https://webwork.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectSource, but authentication fails (rejected access from cvs.dev.java.net). I also tried:

cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs login

using "anoncvs" as my password, per the "Building WebWork 2"instructions at http://wiki.opensymphony.com/space/Building+WebWork+2, but still no dice.

Couldn't find anyone else on the mailing list archives having trouble, so I'm probably missing something completely obvious (and thus apologize for my blindness). Any guesses?

Thanks,

Tim
