Hi,
I was trying to use variables (${variable}) within results at xwork.xml with
Dispatcher result type.
So I noticed that this feature is not consistent through the 3 main result types
(dispatcher,
redirect and velocity).
At (com.opensymphony.webwork.dispatcher):
ServletRedirectResult.java: variables are being parsed by default, it's ok for my
understanding.
VelocityResult.java: have this feature implemented but you must set the parameter
parse (<param name
="parse">true</param>) at result. So the default is not parsing.
ServletDispatcher.java: do not parse variables at all.
I did a few changes at the last 2 classes to make this consistent for all result types
(all parsing
variables and this turned on by default for all - just like Redirect) ...
Is this ok? I'd like to open a JIRA and post the patch if it's ok for everyone ...
it's very simple
and should go into the beta 2 release (I'll post tonight).
