Matt, did you see this thread? The current TOC was created to address some of the issues with Jason’s original chapter. Overall, I found the parts where the XML files were taken apart one-by-one to be rather dry and boring. Also, paragraphs should be 4-6 lines if at all possible. Anything more and the reader will loose interest.   I’m having a hard time seeing how this chapter can fit early on – it has a lot of forward references which are really annoying to a reader (they want to know now, not be told that in 7 chapters they’ll find out more). I’d like to avoid forward references wherever possible. I’m going to look through our TOC and start work on the intro and chapter 2 and see where this leads.   Overall, good content but I think it might just be a bit dry and a bit too much info for such an early chapter.
