Greetings to all of you, I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me a hand on how to compile the manager with Eclipse. I have read the other existing thread on the matter: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_name=a8ba896d0811110107wffa435bm2f04e2c36530ab72%40mail.gmail.com and I can definitely build the release version as well as the trunk version only using the command line, but I'd rather use an IDE.
Moreover the Eclipse project files are part of the SVN repository, so I was kind of hoping it would be a smooth ride. Anyway, here are the error messages I receive when trying to update the maven dependencies in Eclipse, or when trying to build the maven project: "12/12/08 12:05:05 GMT: Build error for /suite/pom.xml; org.apache.maven.reactor.MavenExecutionException: Error scanning for extensions: Cannot resolve pre-scanned plugin artifact (for use as an extension): org.codehaus.mojo:jboss-sar-maven-plugin: Failed to resolve extension plugin: org.codehaus.mojo:jboss-sar-maven-plugin:maven-plugin:RELEASE" and also: "12/12/08 12:11:28 GMT: [WARN] repository metadata for: 'artifact org.codehaus.mojo:jboss-sar-maven-plugin' could not be retrieved from repository: levigo due to an error: Error transferring file 12/12/08 12:11:28 GMT: [INFO] Repository 'levigo' will be blacklisted" (that's when maven tries to update the dependencies) Without forgetting: "Error message: The plugin 'org.codehaus.mojo:jboss-sar-maven-plugin' does not exist or no valid version could be found" (that's when I build, and obviously the errors are linked). I remind you that it built fine using the mvn command line. Being a newbie at maven (eclipse or command line), I was wondering if there was any configuration option hidden somewhere that I might have overlooked. Or maybe there is no recent enough version of the maven plug in for Eclipse, thus the command line advice given by Martin to Buddy? Your experience, fellow open source developers might prove indeed very helpful here. OTC looks full of potential and we are looking into adding a few feats that we have up our sleeves over here that would benefit the community. Thank you very much for your help, don't hesitate to hammer me with questions and precisions if needed, Benoit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SF.Net email is Sponsored by MIX09, March 18-20, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
