Thanks for the quick answer. According to
http://wiki.openthinclient.org/wiki/Pakete-Entwickeln#interne_Entwickler (I
thought my german was poorer, but it wasnt at all xD) , this is my full
walkthrough for Chrome:
1.- Downloaded chrome i386, unpacked it.
2.- # tcos genpackage chrome // (new version changes it from
tcos_genpackage and creates package_rootfs correctly)
3.- Modified the structure under chrome/chrome-2.0.1/ , according to the
documentation. Filled package_rootfs/opt and all the needed folders that
chrome needs. Also checked the rest of the requirements but I might need
to go deeper on this.
4.- # dch // to fillup control and version
5.- # tcos build . // builds the package files , output seems normal, no
error messages. Generates *.deb, *.dsc, *.changes, *.changelog, *.tar.gz ,
*.Packages.gz
6.- # tcos upload ../chrome-2.0-1-2_i386.deb //uploads the files to the
webserver.
7.- I always restart the openthinclient server and the apache server, just
to refresh the whole tree.
8.- Go to manager, refresh packages. The chrome package is there. Click to
install pops-up the error we're dealing with.
Contents of the sources.list:
# v2 rolling
deb http://archive.openthinclient.org/openthinclient/v2/manager-rolling ./
deb http://epr-vdi-2.eprinsa.es/openthinclient/manager-rolling ./
, the second line being the path to the files in the webserver.
As I said, I've tried another package in the git and the result is the
same. OpenThinClient server is Ubuntu 14.04, jre is Oracle's Java 1.7.
Development server is Debian 8.
And finally, regarding your proposal: Of course, whatever comes as a
result, once tested and working goes to the community.
