one more thing:

to actually get a non vesa resolution like 1680x1050 working you have to
configure a graphics card for your thin client. since
hardware-detection/auto-configuration isn't implemented yet the x-server will
fall back to vesa (see https://issues.openthinclient.org/otc/browse/SUITE-82).
