Did you configure a server address? Test 1: press CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-x to get an xterm and run "/opt/rdesktop/bin/rdesktop <server>" Does this work? Test 2: Then, in the xterm, do a "cat Desktop/<name-of-the-rdp-session>", now use the mouse to grab the line after "Exec=" i.e. "/opt/rdesktop/tcos/launcher <LONG_HEX_STRING>" Then paste it into the shell and run that.
