Hi Marting

Thank you for the patch. It seems to be working for a week or so, i got some
crashes of OO and Firefox while downloading documents but i need more
testing to make sure its not due to the tmp folder handling.

I guess when you say its picky, you were referring to active user-context.

For instance if i launch a terminal and do a su -s for root and run an
application, console will print infinite number of orbit- and gnome- errors
complaining user (root in this case) do not have any access to the /tmp

This is particularly the case if i run gnome-xxxxx apps to as root.

Not sure if there is a better workaround. Till then i will test more and
update You on my findings.
