Good choice as soon as you are adding services, like printing.

Congratulations. Well done!
Ok, that's the first option, making the thin client emulate a print
server, usually using TCP port 9100.
Option 2: use CUPS ("network printer") and also connect to the thin
client, but this time using LPR or IPP. (But at the moment I am not
sure whether remote connections are allowed in OTC CUPS yet.)
Option 3: also setup a lokal network printer like in option 2 and
use rdesktop to forward the data vie RDP by adding a coommand line
option to rdesktop: '-r printer:mydeskjet' (if your printer was
named mydeskjet).
Option 4: without CUPS, forward a parallel port to the windows session
by adding '-r lptport:LPT1=/dev/lp0' (or something like /dev/usblp0 if
using USB) and access that from Windows.
But, to be honest, I would also prefer the print server version.
It's the simplest and probably most versatile and stable option
and you can use it from almost anywhere without problems.
OTOH if you use one of the options tunneling it through RDP, you
don't have to have a static IP and only the user running the session
can use that connection.
Choose wisely... :-)
