Hi,

I use VIA C7-based terminals that normally run at 1GHz and which get
quite warm. I have already set them to run at 800MHz in each BIOS,
which helps, but they still run hot.

I would like to implement CPU frequency scaling using the 'ondemand'
governor. I am guessing this will help tremendously with heat and power
consumption with little or no effect on perceived performance.

I created Issue SUITE-319:
https://issues.openthinclient.org/otc/browse/SUITE-319

I would like to try to help the project...and myself. Though I'm not a
programmer, I am fairly familiar with Linux and I have worked on other
such issues over the years.

I have successfully created the development environment in a Ubuntu 6.06 VM.

My question is "Now what?" How do I go about adding kernel modules,
etc.? I assume I need to modify the "Base" module?

The Developer Quick Start Guide ends rather abruptly...

Thanks for a great product! And thanks in advance for any tips.

G
