Hi All
New to OTC, tried submitting this 4 times on Friday, so hopefully this one
will work!!!
Can anyone help with these issues?
I have OTC Server running under W2003 Server on a Dell PE1950, loads of
grunt. DHCP is running elsewhere and has had no modifications made. OTC
Server is seeing the client but not doing anything with it. Tried it on my
laptop under W7, tried the OTC virtual appliance under ESXi - which is where
I'd *really *like to run it, tried all sorts of things. Keep getting the
same thing:
2010-07-02 08:10:06,746 INFO [org.openthinclient.dhcp.
BindToAddressPXEService] Got PXE DISCOVER on /10.xx.xxx.134:67 from /
0.0.0.0:68 MAC=1/00:0x:xx:xx:xx:xx ID=PXEClient:Arch:00000:UNDI:002001
2010-07-02 08:10:06,762 INFO
[org.openthinclient.dhcp.BindToAddressPXEService] Client not eligible for
PXE proxy service
Do I need to change any configs anywhere? Nothing showing up in the realm
either.
Can I use old PCs for thin clients? I don't see any reason why I
shouldn't. They all have PXE boot options on the BIOS and the NICs and I'd
really like to get this working as we have a lot of very old PCs kicking
around and only need a web browser in production areas and this would be
ideal.
The other area I have problems with - again on every install I've tried so
far - I can connect to our AD domain and get an authentication challenge but
can't change any of the LDAP connection strings - they are all greyed out so
SSO won't work.
Regards
Matt
