OK, I'm really at the end of my rope here. I've googled for days, I've
looked at all the list archives on the subject, and still I cannot get my
thin clients to authenticate against my Active Directory. This is a clear
deal breaker for us in implementing this thin solution.
I read one list entry where a user had the exact symptoms. The realm
connects to the AD server, the user list populates with all the AD
accounts, but no thin client authentication. The fix for him was to use
the AD server IP address instead of a DNS name. I too used the AD IP
address - no luck. The only thing that shows up in the realm's server log
is:
pam_ldap: ldap_search_s Operations error
Couldn't authenticate user
Please, PLEASE, does anybody have some idea what is wrong here?
