Hi,

I was looking at putting my own application on my TomTom One XL, and I
found this project. But, from the state of the wiki page (broken
links, spam bots) it looks like things aren't in great shape, and the
spam bots are back. I would be willing to help out getting things
together, but first does anyone have access to the old source files
with these links:

http://www.maintech.de/download/opentom/0.0.3/ttsystem
http://www.maintech.de/download/opentom/0.0.3/root.cpio
http://www.maintech.de/download/opentom/0.0.3/opentom-0.0.3.tar.bz2
http://www.maintech.de/download/opentom/gcc-3.3.4_glibc-2.3.2.tar.bz2

>From the discussion on this list, it looks like developers have moved
to working from the GPL'ed source from TomTom, which is great, but
what I don't see is how to build applications and environments from
that. So what I think could be done here is:

* Kill the ongoing spam bots (see
http://www.opentom.org/Special:RecentChanges ) - maybe disabling user
creation? Move to a different Wiki model?
* Get the old 0.0.3 release of opentom back up for download, if at all
possible (move the source to github?)
* Get together instructions or source for building applications from
the TomTom source (OpenTomNG?)

I could help some with this in some small capacity, but I think first
someone needs to tackle the spambots again and find the old opentom
sources to work from.

Sincerely,
Terence Haddock
