Sometimes the administrator of the Techserv list is slow to respond. I
don't know if that list server is set up to require administrator approval
for subscriptions, but I think it is. So there can be some delay.

The alternate support list is [EMAIL PROTECTED] Until a few
weeks ago, that was completely open for immediate subscription, but we
started getting spam. The spammer would subscribe to the list with a weird
address, usually on yahoo.com.uk, and would then send spam to the list
within seconds, clearly an automated process.

So we were forced to make subscriptions to the protel-users family of lists
on yahoo only effective on approval. I'm getting another moderator on line
soon, and we could have many, which should speed things up, but it normally
takes me a day or so to approve subscriptions, more if it is over the
weekend in the U.S.

I'm sending email to the applicant asking for any personally-written
comment which shows the most minimum knowledge of what Protel stands for.
Just the words "PC Design" would be enough. The e-mail from which I am
apparently sending the request for reply is, of course, a temporary address
that will ultimately become a spam trap if any spam appears on it....
